Job Specifics
Duties Description OGS Digital & Media Services is seeking a Production Planner to join our operational and organizational resources team. This is a dynamic role designed for a proactive professional who thrives at the intersection of production management and technical execution. This isn't just a behind-the-scenes job; it is a career-defining opportunity to influence how our organization functions. You will work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The ideal candidate is the person who remains calm in the storm. You take pride in a perfectly organized calendar but have the technical chops to jump into the edit booth or set up a camera when the team needs an extra hand.
Responsibilities
• Production Orchestration: Lead the day-to-day scheduling of our production facilities, ensuring optimal utilization of studios, edit suites, and field gear.
• Operational Resilience: Maintain peak performance under pressure. You will be responsible for anticipating logistical bottlenecks and implementing rapid response backup plans during live or fast-turnaround productions. Responding quickly and confidently to changes is key.
Skills
• Post-Production: Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, with a mastery of Premiere Pro for efficient, high-quality editing.
• Field Production: Practical experience in videography, lighting, and audio capture for field and studio environments.
• Live Events: A background in live production roles (switching, audio, studio, or stage management) is highly desirable.
• Project Management: Exceptional ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects without losing sight of the details.
• Communication: The ability to translate technical production needs into clear terms for non-technical clients.
• Problem Solving: A "find a way" mentality when faced with equipment failures, new requirements, or last-minute schedule changes.
Note: A variable schedule, including standby and overtime, is required to support operations. Our team operates 365 days a year, holidays included.
Minimum Qualifications NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.
Six years of experience* in one or more of the following assignment areas with a national network, local network television affiliate, cable news, commercial media production facility, marketing communications agency or related operation. College study in a related field may be substituted for up to four years of experience with 30 credit hours equaling one year of experience.
