Minimum Qualifications Job Specifics
The New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS) has embarked on a multi-year initiative, called the Redesign Project, that will require significant investment to redesign its business processes and legacy systems, replacing them with an integrated, customer focused, information system that facilitates its work.

When the Redesign Project is complete, NYSLRS will possess a modern information system, ready to meet the needs of its customers and stakeholders in a secure, flexible and stable environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Interested candidates must be currently reachable on the Information Technology Specialist 2 (SG-18) eligible list or eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

52.6 Transfer
To be eligible to transfer, interested candidates must have at least one-year permanent competitive service in a 52.6 qualifying title allocated to salary grade 16 or higher.

Duties Description Under the general direction of the Information Technology Specialist 3 (SG-23), the Information Technology Specialist 2 (SG-18) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• FileNet System Administration

- Assist with the maintenance of the FileNet System
- Assist with the installation and configuration of FileNet software
- Assist with applying updates and patches to FileNet software
- Monitor FileNet system communication, performance, and usage
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Provide technical FileNet support to users, other administrators, and integrators/developers
- Troubleshoot FileNet system issues
- Deploy custom FileNet code
- Assist with loading of data into FileNet system

• FileNet Workplace Development and Support

- Assist with the development/support of custom FileNet Applications
- Create and maintain application documentation
- Assist with gathering user requirements
- Assist with user testing
- Assist with the bulk load of archived data
