Job Specifics

Duties Description This MAS 2 position serves as a critical technical staff person within the Managed Care Systems Analysis unit in the Bureau of Program Implementation and Enrollment. The incumbent will be responsible for investigating and resolving enrollment issues faced by Medicaid Managed Care recipients. The incumbent will also be responsible for serving as a liaison with Medicaid Managed Care plans, Local Departments of Social Services and the New York State of Health as it relates to Medicaid Managed Care enrollment. The incumbent will support Department of Health efforts to implement the Medicaid Eligibility and Client Management (MECM) system, and HR 1 initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications Reassignment:
Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Medical Assistance Specialist 2, G-23.

Transfer:
Current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 or Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law to a Medical Assistance Specialist 2, G-23.

Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have robust knowledge of the New York State Medicaid system's enrollment and dis enrollment processes and relationships with relevant stakeholders.
