BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist with the management of projects, primarily WNY administered grants and those of the Public Projects Team.
WORK PERFORMED:
• Support the activities and duties of the Senior Director and Assistant Director of Projects, as directed.
• Assist with and perform management of projects administered by the WNY Regional Office.
• Project Management assistance for all WNY projects: Provide assistance on all aspects of project administration, assemblage of materials, research, review, sorting, analysis and compilation of information from external and internal sources to create final documents including applications, ESD Directors’ materials, grant agreements, and various other documents.
• Direct management of a small portfolio of active grants/loans.
• Review incoming requests for disbursement, perform desk audits, work with project attorneys for loan closings, ensure program/project requirements, and create Excel spreadsheets for internal audits.
• Effectively interact with Grantees/Beneficiaries and ESD staff statewide via telephone, email and paper correspondence.
• Ensure quality and completeness of MSD records.
• Maintain project files and records in an orderly manner for easy reference.
• Handle special assignments as required by the NYC Loans & Grants Department, WNY Regional Office and Public Projects Team.
• Assist with administrative duties, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Education Level required: High school diploma, or equivalent.
Relevant experience required: 3+ years’ relevant experience supporting teams and assisting with project management duties.
Knowledge required: Project development, data analysis, excellent written and oral communication skills, highly proficient in Excel & Word. PeopleSoft a plus.
