Job Specifics
Duties Description Within the Office of Business Administration Unit, the Senior Administrative Analyst will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. You'll conduct management and organizational studies to identify and solve operational challenges, finding ways to develop recommendations for improvement. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
• Identify obstacles to program goals and define project objectives.
• Develops project work plans to address these goals, objectives and challenges.
• Collects pertinent data through various means such as interviews, conferences, questionnaires, reports and on-site observations.
• Designs, revises, and updates procedure manuals, forms, and agency policies to ensure clarity, efficiency, and compliance.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and recommends improvements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
• Collaborate with the emergency management team to address problems identified related to Location Emergency Action Plans (LEAP).
• Supports the development, execution, and compliance of emergency plans to enhance safety objectives.
• Prepares relevant analyses, such as cost/benefit and systems analysis.
• Provides guidance and technical assistance to colleagues and team members on administrative analysis projects and best practices.
• Writes periodic progress and final reports of study containing findings and recommendations; may make oral presentations to agency officials and other concerned parties to answer questions regarding the project and its implementation.
• Prepares or directs the preparation of reports and other material necessary to implement recommendations.
• Supports agency performance improvement initiatives, including planning/facilitating events, analyzing data, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Compiles, tracks and analyzes performance measure data and provides information to agency management, other state agencies and entities.
• Assesses the impact of legislative proposals or new initiatives on agency policies and procedures and provides recommendations for any necessary action.

Minimum Qualifications Competitive Minimum Qualifications:

Reassignment Qualifications:
Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a Senior Administrative Analyst/Trainee 1/2 if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current eligible list for this location, if one exists.
52.6 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 12 or higher determined to be administrative by Civil Service.
70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 11 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.
70.4 Transfer Qualifications: One year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Grade (#11) or higher and a passing score on Administrative Analyst Trainee 1. Note: Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title. Appointments are made at the Trainee 1 level.
