Job Specifics

Duties Description The Program Aide provides critical administrative and programmatic support to the Office of Youth Justice (OYJ) in the unit’s implementation and oversight of community-based programming. Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Managing data entry for unit functions including travel expenses, telecommuting plans, and monthly statistical reporting.

• Arranging travel for internal and external stakeholders as necessary; processing travel vouchers for Juvenile Justice Advisory Group (JJAG) members.

• Monitoring shared OYJ mailed mailboxes, managing supply orders, and handling copy requests.

• Providing support to Program Staff as assigned including but not limited to scheduling of local collaborative meetings, drafting meeting minutes, maintaining programmatic documents, and ensuring that required activities are occurring within the designated timeframes.

• Assisting in the planning of the Annual Youth Justice Conference, including venue liaison (space, AV, catering, etc.), drafting conference materials, and providing backend application support to ensure a successful event.

• Scheduling and developing agendas for upcoming meetings as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-11 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Good written and oral communication skills, and good attention to detail. The incumbent must also be able to work well in team settings. Preferred candidates will possess good analytics skills and working knowledge of the youth serving systems.
