Job Specifics
Duties Description Evaluating prospective leased sites and communicating with DOH programs and/or other agencies about appropriateness of location based on needs and funding. Working with multiple entities regarding space planning, office relocations/reconfigurations and logistics on a statewide basis. Maintaining a professional level of tact and decorum when working with program staff, directors, vendors and high-level executives on space issues. Use of appropriate technology, specifically MS Office Suite and SharePoint, Auto CAD and/or any other computer software applicable to this position. Implementation of appropriate policy and working within budget constraints.
Minimum Qualifications Promotion: (A) one year of service as an Assistant Office Services Manager. (B) one year of service as a Chief Clerk, Chief Mail & Supply Clerk, Public Buildings Manager 2, Property Manager 1, Property Manager 2.
Transfer: Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as an Office Services Manager, Grade 23, OR: New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer to Office Services Manager, Grade 23, under Section 52.6, 70.1 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.
Additional Comments This position may require travel throughout New York State including overnights to areas not served by public transportation.
