Job Specifics
Duties Description Candidate must have basic computer knowledge to support the Summer Recreation Program and duties will include but are not limited to; Assisting with seasonal job fairs and orientations including answering questions related to the Recreation Program, preparing hiring packets for staff and processing appropriate paperwork for Human Resources, Payroll and Personnel.
Candidate will also be responsible for entering sales into Aspira (the current Campground Reservation System), payroll tracking in Excel, collecting and auditing weekly campground paperwork, scanning weekly paperwork for further auditing by staff in the Regional Office and Central Office in Albany and there will be some filing of paperwork.
The candidate will act as a supervisor for seasonal staff, making certain they are following the Guidance Manual and Health and Safety protocols.
Must become familiar with LATS to ensure seasonal employee payroll is submitted and approved on time.
Some maintenance and/or janitorial duties may be required. such as cleaning restrooms, setting up conference rooms for meetings, assisting with collecting trash in the office and maintenance center and other duties necessary as they arise.
May be asked to assist with mowing/trimming, raking and staining/painting of buildings, picnic tables etc. as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. Preference given to those 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 11/30/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Transportation needs of this position require use of a state vehicle and adhering to the Department’s Vehicle Policy. You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for this position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
