Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications 5 years of hands-on experience in ECM technologies. At least 3 of the 5 years must include IBM Datacap Taskmaster experience.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering related field, may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Computer or relevant Engineering discipline strongly desired.
• Experience in installing IBM Datacap applications in production including setting up applications for multithread execution.
• Experience in IBM FileNet Administration and configuration.
• Exposure to Configure IBM Content navigator development environment with IBM CM8.0.
• Background in Java/.Net development.
• Experience in IBM FileNet P8 Development.
• Understanding of the concerns involved in infrastructure and operations management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills –including verbal, written, and presentation.

Duties Description The NYS Office of Information Technology (ITS) Administrative and General Services (AGS) is seeking a Project Assistant to provide support with the deployment of the newly created workflow application system which will be used to allow the Business Service Center (BSC) to better track and manage financial transactions.
The IBM Datacap Taskmaster Project Assistant will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of e-process/workflows. The Project Assistant will utilize Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technologies on IBM Datacap Taskmaster to design, develop, implement and administer IBM Datacap Solutions.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Interacting with core business teams to collect functional requirements;
• Architect/Designing Datacap solutions; working with the team to develop and track deliverables;
• Installing and patching IBM Datacap applications in production including setting up applications for multithread execution;
• Performing IBM FileNet Enterprise Content Manager 8.0 Administration and configuration activities;
• Installing and configuring Datacap server & client components;
• Developing and configuring Datacap User Interfaces, look up, task profiles, action libraries, custom actions, validations, verifications, workflows and exports to databases and content management system for scanning solutions;
• Developing custom reports using RV2 or .Net;
• Supporting infrastructure and operations management activities;
• Providing training to New York State employees on the new deployed technology.

Additional Comments This Office of Information Technology Services position will be assigned to work within the Administrative and General Services cluster. Please note this is a temporary appointment with a projected term of 18 months. Some positions may require fingerprinting.
