Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications In order to be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description This position is located in the Appropriation Control Section. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Process new contracts and encumbrances for Metropolitan Planning Organization program area;
- Process Construction Letting Contracts;
- Track daily entries to facilitate efficient flow of transactions from NYSDOT sources systems (SiteManager and AS400) through the WIPPER Web Interface system to the Office of the State Comptroller ensuring transaction approval. Research and resolution of issues that arise;
- Manage subledgers created specifically for Contracts and Right of Way, including submitting Statewide Financial System(SFS) for creation, deposit with OSC, and closing out at the end of the project;
- Process and manage lease contracts which involves coordinating efforts between Accounting program areas and regional contacts; and
- Assist in the review and processing of Municipality Agreement Contracts.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
