Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current NYS Civil Service eligible list or a current New York State employee eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 or Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Examples of titles approved for a Section 52.6 transfer are Administrative Assistant, Senior Budgeting Analyst, Human Resources Specialist 1, and Information Technology Specialist 2.
Titles approved for a Section 70.1 transfer are: Head Occupational Therapist, Head Physical Therapist, Head Recreation Therapist, Health Facility Management Assistant, Intermediate Care Facility Program Manager 1, Intermediate Care Facility Program Manager 2, Mental Health Program Specialist 1, Mental Hygiene Program Evaluation Specialist 2, Nurse Administrator 1, Nurse Administrator 1 (Psychiatric), Resources and Reimbursement Program Development Specialist 1, Security Hospital Supervising Treatment Assistant, Speech Language Pathology Audiology Program Coordinator 1 and Utilization Review Coordinator.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of curriculum development and adult learning
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Knowledge of the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS)
• Ability to work independently, in a team environment, and cooperatively with co-workers

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) is a new assessment tool that will have a significant impact on both individual health and safety expectations and resource balancing. The CAS will be used to identify a person requesting or receiving services strengths and needs in a consistent and comprehensive manner. OPWDD is responsible for the development and updating of all training materials for the assessors that will be completing the CAS as well as quality assurance functions related to the CAS. Therefore, OPWDD has a need for the CAS Program Operation Specialist position to be backfilled in order to evaluate assessor training modules, develop/modifying trainings, and assisting with the development of quality assurance materials.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent of this position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:
• Activate, monitor and manage all user accounts in the Health Commerce System (HCS)
• Develop and update online and in-person training curriculum for the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS)
• Conduct quality reviews of training, coordinate content experts as needed, document and communicate modifications of trainings to the OPWDD and DOH teams
• Assist and/or deliver in-person training
• Develop and meet timelines on assigned projects
• Identify and utilize resources needed to meet deliverables
• Lead project meetings
Note: Ability to travel up to 10 % required. This position also may periodically require an ability to work flexible hours.
