Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Current permanent status as a Licensed Master Social Worker 2 and qualified for lateral transfer ~OR~ Eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law ~OR~ Reachable on the current Licensed Master Social Worker 2 eligible list.

Candidate must possess experience treating patients with occurring addiction and mental health disorders. Be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.

The Van Dyke ATC is a Tobacco-Free Facility.

Duties Description Position will function as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team. Duties will include: supervising 1 to 3 clinical staff, providing individual counseling and addictions treatment programming, carrying a caseload of 3 – 5 patients, treatment and discharge planning, while monitoring the clinical environment and following all Van Dyke and Bureau of Addiction Treatment policies and procedures. The position would also require handling complex issues and to exercise independent judgment in performing those duties. It will also involve supervising clinical staff and may include training subordinate clinical staff. Other duties will be assigned as needed. The Van Dyke ATC uses an electronic medical record. CPR is a requirement. For external candidates, a criminal background check will be required.
