Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications For permanent appointment, candidate must be currently employed by New York State as a Habilitation Specialist 1 with permanent or contingent permanent service and eligible for transfer, OR Currently be employed by New York State and reachable for appointment on the Civil Service list for this title.

Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
• Assist the Program Director in the management of the program
• Meet with the Program Director Weekly
• Meet weekly with the Developmental Assistant 2 (supervises CSEA/Direct Support Assistant)
• Make daily classroom rounds
• Daily monitoring of data entry, service compliance and inclusions
• Closely monitoring of record books to ensure compliance
• Chair monthly full staff meetings and complete minutes of said meeting
• Chair monthly meetings
• Supervise and closely monitor work performance of all staff
