Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State and have at least one year post-licensure clinical nursing experience.

Duties Description Screens, treats, and refers health care needs of inmate population within the scope of nursing practice. Sick call treatments/referrals, emergencies, certified in basic life support; skilled in venipuncture IVs, able to operate EKG, dressing changes, catheterizations, suture removals; able to functions independently; accurate transcription of physician orders with appropriate follow through of orders; maintains acceptable time and attendance, maintains a professional attitude, maintains current licensure. Attire, language, demeanor are professionally appropriate.

Additional Comments 1 Full-time, 1 Part-time (50%), 6 per diem openings; Full-time is night/evenings; others vary with various days off.
