Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Teacher 2: New York State Education Department provisional/initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.

Teacher 3: New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.

Teacher 4: New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in that same specialty.

Duties Description Develop and implement an instructional plan for each learner, utilizing a diagnostic, prescriptive approach. Periodically review and evaluate the progress of each learner, and update the assignments given. Provide a variety of appropriate instructional opportunities for each learner. Produce reports as requested by immediate supervisor. Produce and maintain individual progress records for each learner. Keep state record cards updated and available. Provide a classroom environment which is conductive to learning. Maintain professional relationships with other staff, facility, and with the learners.
