Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must be a New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Secretary 1 (G-11) or in a title at or above a G-9 and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1* of the Civil Service Law.

*Examples of titles that qualify to transfer directly are, but are not limited to: Exam Composition Assistant, Law Department Document Specialist, and Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding. Examples of titles eligible to transfer, but must pass a typing test are, but not limited to: Assistant Workers Compensation Examiner, Business Document Specialist 1, Call Center Representative, Library Clerk 2, Licensing Services Clerk, Motor Vehicle Representative, Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 (various parenthetic), and Payroll Assistant.
