Duties Description The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Act as first level review in the evaluation of proposals for funding received in response to RFP’s. Ensure all required documents are received and that packages are complete;Assists in preparing short-term and long-range work objectives and goals;
• Collect data of refugee arrivals from the Office of Refugee Resettlement, and of clients who receive services from Bureau of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance (BRIA) funded programs and create reports utilizing Excel;Assists in ensuring compliance with administrative and programmatic requirements;
• Enter information on programs and services into the BRIA Information Network (BIN) system. Provide assistance to service providers using BIN to determine eligibility BRIA services;Assists in preparation, review, evaluation, and analysis of a variety of reports and records;
• Answer the main phone line for BRIA, screen calls, answer questions and take messages, as necessary, or forward call to the appropriate staff member;

• Refer calls from Non-English speakers to appropriate in-house staff, or conference in via a three- way call with the Language Line;

• Assist in special projects such as preparing training materials, maintaining databases, and preparing annual or other special reports.

Additional Comments You must be a current New York State employee to apply for this position. A full-time, contingent-permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
