Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Six years experience in two or more of the following activities: administering, monitoring or evaluating human services programs for economically or socially disadvantaged individuals and families in such areas as health, nutrition, housing, economic development or education.
A degree in social welfare; sociology; social work; business or public administration; public, business or nonprofit management; nutrition; psychology; economics or education may be substituted for applicable experience, as follows: two years for an associate's degree, four years for a bachelor's degree, and five years for master's degree.
Duties Description The Community Services Program Analyst 1 (CSPA 1) will perform field monitoring and provide technical assistance to agencies receiving Community Services Block Grant funds, including developing agency monitoring plans; perform on-site visits to assess agency performance and compliance with statutes, regulations, policies and procedures, and provide technical assistance to address identified barriers to program success; review applications, contracts, amendments, reports and other documents; represent the Department of State at agency functions; and prepare various narrative and statistical reports that substantiate observations, findings and recommendations. The CSPA I will be required to travel regularly to agencies in different counties, including attendance at board and other meetings on evenings and weekends.
