Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Minimum qualifications for taking the open-competitive examination: Must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma, issued by an appropriate educational authority AND:
Either 1.) one year of experience assisting with the filling of medical prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist;
OR 2.) a current Pharmacy Technician Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB);
OR 3.) a certificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Duties Description Assist in preparing medications for Pharmacist to dispense and performs administrative tasks such as inventory of pharmaceutical supplies; Assist in preparing, ordering and receiving supplies; Entering data in appropriate records; Assist in prepackaging prescriptions; Repackaging and delivery of drugs and maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment within the Pharmacy.
