Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must currently be in title, eligible for transfer, or meet the minimum qualifications for appointment. There is no written test. If you meet the Minimum Qualifications, your education and experience will be evaluated against the general background/critical activities of the position.

Candidates must have one year of post-master's experience** as a Speech Language Pathologist AND
Either I: New York State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist; Or II: American Speech and Hearing Association certification.
** This experience is NOT in addition to the experience required for licensure or certification. However, you must have had one full calendar year of experience rather than the nine months of experience required for licensure or certification

Duties Description The Speech Language Pathologist 2 participates in a broad range of experiences dealing with the communication disorders of individuals. They provide clinical services as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team or within the organizational structure of the department in which they work. In all cases, they would apply their skills and techniques to meet the specific needs of individuals.
In addition, they may provide consultant services in a specialty for treatment programming and evaluation, and/or provide clinical supervision of paraprofessional staff.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team as a Speech Language Pathologist 2.
• Other duties as assigned.
