Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Preferred qualifications: experience in maintenance, construction, and landscape work; preferably in public recreational facilities. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and automotive maintenance and carpentry experience. Familiar with Point of Sale Revenue System and ability to manage cash sales and credit card transactions. First Aid, CPR, AED certified.
Duties Description Must be willing and able to do manual work in the park such as, but not limited to, using rakes and shovels, operate push lawnmowers, leaf blowers and grass trimmers. Must be willing to clean restroom facilities and manage the daily operation of recycle station including compacting refuse. Must be able to operate a skidsteer to receive bulk deliveries such as firewood.
Must work weekends and holidays and will be required to work through Columbus Day weekend as a term of employment. Must be willing and able to supervise other seasonal employees ensuring staff understand and carry out duties in a timely manner with consideration to the safety of all employees.
Additional Comments This is a temporary positions with a duration of 7/26/18 through 11/30/187. Must have valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and/or work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
