Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law, or reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent organizational, technical and communication skills; experience using a statistical software package to manipulate and analyze data; the ability to summarize findings in tabular, graphic, and narrative form; and the ability to work in a team setting is preferred.

Duties Description This position will prepare and analyze criminal justice data and trends to respond to internal and external requests for information and statistics. Under the supervision of a Program Research Specialist 3, the Criminal Justice Policy Analyst will also prepare annual reports; assist with preparation of data for the agency website, and assist with developing projections related to new or proposed policy and legislation.

Additional Comments Appointment is subject to Division of Budget waiver approval.
