Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university AND four (4) years of progressively responsible supervisory and management experience in complex projects related to data and information sharing, including:
Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in the full range of project management activities, including development and implementation of project timelines; completion of resource needs analysis; the implementation of success evaluation criteria; oversight and motivation of project teams to apply skills in solving dynamic problems; maintaining project work plans; and directing, leading and coordinating project implementation; AND
One (1) year of experience in projects related to developing data and information sharing projects such as web portals or other websites that provide information from diverse sources.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in or with governmental entities in information sharing through technology, development of web portals, communication or technology; overall project management including experience with project management tools; and excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to present technical information to management and staff.
Duties Description As a Project Coordinator, you would independently direct all activities related to the development and implementation of the Secure Portal Development and Implementation Project according to the grant requirements for the Unemployment Insurance Integrity Center of Excellence. You would be responsible for initiating, planning and executing this project by creatively applying managerial, technical, financial, contracting and facilitation skills to resolve problems and ensure the project would be met on time, within budget and in accordance with the grant proposal.
Additional Comments A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one year of general experience.
Complex projects are defined as: projects that are highly visible and have priority status; stakeholders are diverse and represent officials from NYS, other states and federal/national organizations; have multiple complicated and detailed issues and technologies.
