Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent service or 55-b/c service in a title SG-4 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Candidates eligible for 55-b/c appointment are also eligible to apply. Although we will conduct a canvass of the eligible list, candidates with a score of 100 or higher on the Beginning Clerical Worker eligible list are encouraged to apply.
Duties Description The Document Image Capture and Processing (DICAP) unit, within the Office of Criminal Justice Operations (OCJO), oversees and operates the Scanning and the Retrieval Unit and Domestic Incident Report Unit (DIR). Scanning and Retrieval unit prepares and scans fingerprint cards, DNA and other documents into the Universal Content Management database. The DIR unit prepares, scans verifies and performs a quality review of Domestic Incidents Report forms. The unit works directly with other groups within the agency and outside the agency to ensure that the most updated information is available. Under the supervision of an Identification Spec 2, candidate will perform the following duties: retrieve and distribute mail for the unit; maintain filing system as pre scanning and post scanning support; prepare documents to be scanned and data entered.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; preferred candidates should also be detail oriented and proficient entering data on computers.
