Minimum Qualifications No Civil Service Minimum Qualifications

Duties Description Under the direction of the Trades Generalist, duties will include, but will not be limited to:
• Performing semi-skilled work in a primary trade in one of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, or masonry and plaster.
• Assisting the Trades Generalist with regional housing, cabin/cottage, and buildings rehab projects at Taconic State Park.
• Using hand tools, portable power tools, shop equipment, and measuring and testing instruments appropriate to the assigned trade.
• Using instructions provided by the Trades Generalist to complete projects and heavy labor tasks either independently or in a team environment.
• Assisting with the coordination and execution of projects, including but not limited to carpentry repairs, roofing and siding (working from scaffolding and ladders), foundation repairs, plumbing, masonry repairs, and clean up.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Ability to work from scaffolds and ladders.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, to climb, bend & do moderately heavy lifting.
