Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: one year of trade experience subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience such as that required for a Trades Specialist (Carpenter), Trades Specialist (Electrician), Service & Repair Mechanic (Electronics), Trades Generalist, Grounds Construction Supervisor, Trades Specialist (Locksmith), Trades Specialist (Machinist), Trades Specialist (Mason & Plasterer), Service & Repair Mechanic (Motor Equipment), Trades Specialist (Painter), Trades Specialist (Plumber & Steamfitter), Service & Repair Mechanic (HVAC-R), Trades Specialist (Roofing), or Trades Specialist (Welder).

Preferred Qualifications: Candidate should possess strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; and must be able to work independently and as part of a team as well as handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties Description The Maintenance Supervisor 1 will be assigned to David Axelrod Instituite and will be responsible for managing and supporting maintenance activities, including building trades and shops for state and contract trades staff, state and contract custodial staff, review of purchase requests, assisting with laboratory renovation projects, and equipment management.
