Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

One year of service as an Occupational Therapist, and possession of a license and current registration to practice Occupational Therapy in New York State.

Duties Description This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).
For the duration of the NY HELPS program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required. All candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
Appointment will be permanent, non-competitive.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you would, under the general direction of a higher-level occupational therapist or clinician, independently provide a variety of physical therapy treatment services to individuals with more severe or acute physical disabilities and may provide clinical supervision and training to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
