Job Specifics
Duties Description The Treatment Team Leader assigned to the Region 5, Family Care Services (Metro DDSOO and Staten Island DDSOO and Brooklyn DDSOO’s Day Habilitation Program)
Metro Family Care program responsibilities will include but not be limited to the day-to-day administrative and quality assurance oversight. The incumbent will also act as liaison between the Metro Family Care program, the Agency Sponsored Family Care programs, Central Office Family Care unit, and/or other applicable service organizations with relation to the Family Care program. The TTL will serve as the point contact for Family Care Providers may have higher concerns or issues regarding services to the individuals or issues impacting the family.
Brooklyn Day Habilitation program responsibilities will include but not be limited to the day-to-day oversight for all clinical, programmatic, and administrative functions relating to the operation of Day Programs and Habilitation Services.
Additional duties may include, but not be limited to:
• Regularly review systems and procedures and implement recommendations for improvement of the service.
• Generate status reports of data trends and recommend solutions.
• Create systemic tracking, oversight, and accountability for staff training compliance.
• Oversee new staff utilization, performance evals, probationary evals for all sites.
• Quality improvement/LEAN activities
• Ensure that programs meet the needs of participants and comply with relevant regulations.
• Staff Supervision and Training:
• Hire, train, and supervise direct support staff.
• Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff are knowledgeable about best practices in working with individuals with IDD.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing IDD services.
• Conduct regular quality assurance evaluations to improve program outcomes.
• Community Engagement:
• Develop partnerships with community organizations to enhance opportunities for program participants.
• Encourage community involvement and inclusion for individuals with IDD.
• Data Collection and Reporting:
• Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes and participant progress.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders and funding sources.
• Will serve as an Administrator on Duty (AOD) on a rotational basis.
• Serve on various committees inclusive of Region 5 Policy committee.
• May be assigned to assist with management of clinical support to be determined.
• Other duties assigned under the direction of the DDPS 4 and DD.

Minimum Qualifications Competitive:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the Current Civil Service Eligible List.

Open Competitive: A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Audiology, Special Education, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Rehabilitation Therapy Or Counseling, Speech Pathology, or Community Mental Health and a license, certificate, or registration by the New York State Education Department, or one established by the appropriate professional organization, for professional practice of that discipline; and four years of professional mental health/developmental disabilities treatment experience, including two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity, and one year as a member of a fully-functioning, multi-disciplinary treatment team.
A Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work may be substituted for one year of the general experience.
Additional Comments • If you are currently a New York State employee serving in a permanent competitive qualifying title and eligible for a transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, you may be appointed to this title as a permanent competitive employee.
• Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the downstate adjustment. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for M/C Grade M-1 ($90,931) and Downstate Adjustment ($3,400). Downstate Adjustment is also added to the job rate ($114,940).

• All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
