Job Specifics
Duties Description The Office of State Senator Christopher J. Ryan seeks a motivated Scheduler in his District Office. This position reports to the Chief of Staff, and is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Office’s calendars and assisting with office operations.
This position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal and multitasking skills to help ensure the office runs efficiently and time is used effectively.
In this dynamic role, you will:
•Coordinate and maintain the Office’s daily, weekly, and long-term schedule and associated calendars
•Communicate scheduling challenges and resolve scheduling conflicts
•Arrange travel logistics and prepare travel itineraries
•Manage and organize the general inbox
•Manage and coordinate office reimbursements
•Assist with office operations, including: supply organization and ordering, mail, building and facilities communications
•Assist at events, meetings and community activities, as needed
•Additional responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications To be considered, you must:
•Be highly dependable and organized, with strong communication skills and attention to detail
•One to three years’ experience in scheduling, executive assistance, office administration and/or state government
•Possess a valid driver's license
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but an associates degree with relevant experience will be considered. Existing familiarity with Onondaga and/or Oswego communities is a plus.
Additional Comments The salary range is $45,000 to $50,000, commensurate with education and experience.
