Job Specifics

Duties Description This position is for the campground maintenance supervisor of Fish Creek Campground. Major duties will include managing maintenance cleaning staff and assigning tasks, maintaining public water systems, daily water testing, ensuring bathrooms and showers are efficiently cleaned, maintaining plumbing distribution systems, trash removal, operation of septic systems, maintaining septic records, completion of water operation reports, tracking of fuel usage and submitting logs and various critical paperwork. Keeping inventory of tools and supplies, submitting supply requests, completing work orders, training staff, making sure to communicate any issues to supervisor.

- Must be willing and able to complete manual and semi-skilled work (work assignments will include cleaning of toilets / bathroom facilities, minor carpentry, roofing, painting, minor plumbing, equipment operation, equipment maintenance, chainsaw operation, maintaining roads, grounds and facilities, lifting garbage cans chest high, using rakes and shovels and various hand tools).

- Must be able to follow written or oral instructions to complete projects.

- Must be well groomed, wear issued uniform, as well as proper safety PPE. Issued clothing and safety gear must be kept clean and presentable.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have one year of satisfactory experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping or in a business operation.

*At least 6 month of such experience must be at the supervisory level. Must be at least 18 years of age and have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

*Experience in a business operation must include responsibilities dealing with the public, customer service and daily financial reporting and processing.

Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 10/21/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.

Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.

Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Overtime may be required.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response.
Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
