Job Specifics

Duties Description The incumbents of these roles are responsible for the delivery, reporting, evaluation, and support of development of domestic violence training, grant monitoring, and/or technical assistance to various audiences.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Deliver training content in-person and online as outlined in the specified curriculum to support statewide training of professionals, including but not limited to child welfare, Child Protective Services, and Social Services.
• Provide post-training support.
• Provide technical assistance to other government agencies and community organizations including assessing needs, collecting and maintaining data, and developing materials and job aids.
• Facilitate meetings and co-training curricula with staff from other agencies.
• Assist in the review of domestic violence related educational, training, informational materials, and policies.
• Conduct research to enhance project activities.
• Assist in the development of curricula through:
o planning, coordination, and implementation of training initiatives,
o needs assessments and task analysis research,
o development of learning objectives, training lessons, and related materials (including activities, practices, job aids, handouts, and workbooks), and
o contribute to the research and development of Computer Based Training modules using a combination of lecture and visual applications.
• Prepare and complete reports as requested.
• Perform general grant contract monitoring tasks including contract preparation and addressing any necessary grant contract modifications or amendments.
• Assist in the development of informational and outreach materials.
• Conduct outreach programs and presentations including coordinating project activities related to presentation delivery.
• Prepare written reports, facilitate data collection, and evaluate as required by the agency and/or funding sources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience* in the provision of domestic or gender-based violence prevention services; the provision of human services, training and education, government, social justice or gender-based advocacy services; or public policy research and development.

*Substitutions: A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of specialized experience; a master’s degree may substitute for five years of specialized experience; or a Ph.D. may substitute for six years of specialized experience.

NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.

Additional Comments NOTE:
• Travel may be required (approximately 20%), including during evening and weekends, depending on mission and assignment.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required or otherwise demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job.
