Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service or 55b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer. For 55b/c appointment: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Economics, Government, Public Administration, Public Affairs, Sociology or Political Science; and two years of experience analyzing data, trends, policies and programs that involve criminal justice populations.

Duties Description Working under the Chief of Identification Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for providing access to criminal history record information (CHRI) to local, state and federal criminal justice and statutorily authorized non-criminal justice agencies. Duties will include implementation and oversight of authorized access to CHRI, including the preparation and handling of contracts, reviewing incoming requests for CHRI access and forwarding to legal staff for review as necessary; reviewing enacted and proposed legislation and providing analysis; preparing briefings and correspondence for the Chief and Directors; interacting with local, state and federal agencies in connection with areas related to CHRI access, as well as responding to inquiries from the public and non-governmental entities; scheduling meetings; and other bureau tasks as necessary.
