Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title or reachable on the appropriate Civil Service List; or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer.
Provisional or 55b/c Appointment: A bachelor's degree including nine (9) semester credit hours in statistics, economics, econometrics, or research methods and two years of subsequent professional research experience in the collection and evaluation of quantitative data directed toward review and analysis of program operations. Candidates must also have at least three years of research experience in the field of criminal justice (a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice may be substituted for one year or a master’s degree in criminal justice may be substituted for two years of this experience).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Excel; experience with data analysis and report preparation; and experience using SPSS to conduct research.
Duties Description Under the supervision of a Program Research Specialist 3 (CJ), the incumbent will conduct research and policy analysis in the areas of criminal justice and juvenile justice, prepare analytic reports, and help maintain a large-scale juvenile justice data collection and reporting system.
