Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Qualifications for appointment includes a license or limited permit to practice medicine and completion of a residency program in psychiatry. Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Individuals excluded from participation in these programs will not be considered. Preferred candidates will have previous experience providing Telepsychiatry services.
Duties Description Psychiatrists in the OMH Telepsychiatry Program provide services to outpatients at clinics throughout the state via Telepsychiatry hubs. Incumbents apply telemedicine to the specialty field of psychiatry, delivering psychiatric assessments and care through telecommunications technology, including videoconferencing. Hub locations are available throughout New York State.
