Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Nurse 2 Psychiatric – A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. One year of post-licensure registered clinical experience including six months post-licensure specialized nursing experience with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, alcoholism, or chemical dependency ~OR~ eighteen months of post-licensure registered nurse general clinical experience.**
Nurse 1 - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice.**
**Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare program. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.

Duties Description • Provides direct nursing care to patients, including, administration of medication, providing ordered medical treatment, checking and transcribing electronic orders including Order Connect and I-Stop utilization, monitoring of patients including admission shift notes, monitoring stock and active medication supply, accurate documentation including incident reporting, and collection of specimens for laboratory analysis and culture utilizing laboratory website, audit and close out of uniform case record. Computer skills necessary;
• Provides health education to assigned patients and general education, monitors patient behavior and participates in treatment planning, preparation of admission record, preparation of discharge property and ordered discharge medication;
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team;
• Performs other nursing duties as assigned;
• Crisis intervention (both behavioral & medical);
• Person Centered patient interaction and sound Nursing judgment necessary;
• Potential supervision of Nurse 1, LPN and Addiction Counselor Assistant
Completion of other tasks to meet ATC needs: assisting patients preparing for discharge, monitoring medication administration for diversion prevention, assist with preparing linen packets for new admissions, stocking of general supplies, and other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Additional Comments Salary Range for Nurse 1 - $41,993 - $53,606

Plus Shift Differential: $400
