Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Must be immediately reachable on the Civil Service eligible list or eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
A permanent non-competitive appointment may also be made pursuant to Section 52(7) of the Civil Service Law, if three or fewer qualified candidates in the department promotion field apply for this position. Qualifications for a non-competitive promotion for this title include: One year of permanent competitive service at Homes and Community Renewal in a clerical or account clerical position allocated to Grade 18 or higher.
Duties Description Supervise upstate Support Services Unit which includes but not limited to; Hampton Plaza Mailroom Operation, Upstate Office Supply and equipment: order/ inventory & distribution/control (Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse), Hampton Plaza Building Maintenance liaison, Hampton Plaza Security, Hampton Plaza fire safety coordination, Responsible for Upstate Telecommunication needs and assist NYS ITS, as needed, with Data Communication requirements, Assist NYS ITS with the transition of telecom systems to VoIP per NYS ITS Unite NY schedule, Coordinate required UpState Office design adjustments, and renovations. (Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse), Responsible for the Tracking & Maintenance of state-wide DHCR Vehicle Fleet, Perform special assignments as provided by Unit Director, Coordinate DHCR surplus property disposition, as a liaison with NYS OGS for all DHCR locations. In addition the incumbent will coordinate with NYS ITS for disposition of ITS surplus at all DHCR locations and create/update unit spreadsheets related to inventory, vehicles, telecommunications and other areas as needed.
