Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice Nursing in New York State AND have ONE year of full-time post-RN licensure clinical nursing experience.

Duties Description Work in the medical unit at Attica Correctional Facility. As a Nurse 2 (all parenthetics) you will provide professional nursing services appropriate to individuals served by the program to which you are assigned. Services may include nursing interventions and their documentation, case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care. You will also participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports. Maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team. You may also act as a charge nurse on a unit or in a residence, or as house or unit supervisor in a nursing home.

Additional Comments Also will receive an $8,000 geographic pay, $2,000 evening shift and $3,000 night shift added to the base pay. There are four positions available, all various shifts.
