Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Seven or more years of experience in Unix, Oracle and Pinnacle TMS environments.
The following degrees, preferably in Computer Science, may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
• Associate’s degree and six years of experience
• Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and five years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and four years of experience
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
• Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the technical background, the ideal candidate will have:
• Seven or more years of experience in supporting an enterprise voice environment of 50,000 phones or more;
• Seven years of experience supporting HP Unix or AIX environment;
• Seven years of experience supporting E911 updates and assignments;
• Seven years of experience supporting phone number management;
• Oracle Database Certification;
• Five years of experience of Database backup and recovery.
Duties Description Under the direction of Director Financial Admin 5, M-5, within the COO/Business Office/Business Processing, the incumbent will provide advanced Telecom Analyst support as the product administrator of the Pinnacle Telecom Expense Management (TEM) environment. In addition, the incumbent will support data transfers between several enterprise level inventory systems, provide monthly charge back reports for telecommunications and network services, system and data analytics, interface with numerous vendors on normalizing data imports and rating services for charge back.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage the e911 updates for Avaya, Nortel and UniteNY/Cisco served telephones, including updates with Intrado for Public Service Answering Point (PSAP) routing for emergency services, database replication, address and location verification, and Cisco Emergency Location Identification Numbers per rate center / location.
• Manage the Pinnacle Telecommunications Expense Management System (TEMS) and provide system analysis support, product development, patch management, data analytics and ad-hoc support.
• Coordinate collecting and archiving telephony system call detail records for internal systems and vendor provided data.
• Coordinate “rating” call detail to provide data to monthly billing reports, which requires an understanding of each carrier’s CDR data fields and applicable rating algorithms.
