Minimum Qualifications Three years of demonstrated experience in instructional design, curriculum development and training adults in traditional and non-traditional settings; Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Masters’ Degree in education or related field preferred; Excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills; Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite and use of Internet; Demonstrated experience and knowledge of skilled trades; Able to deal with multiple priorities and competing deadlines in team setting; A satisfactory equivalent combination of appropriate experience and education as determined by the Partnership and the NYS Governor’s Office of Employee Relations.
Duties Description The Employee Program Associate for Trades, Operations and Maintenance is responsible for the management of programs and services designed for employees in the Operational Services Unit (OSU). This includes the coordination of open enrollment courses, worksite training and online learning certificate programs in the category of trades, operations and maintenance. The Employee Program Associate regularly evaluates the needs of participants and the trends in agency operations and maintenance to ensure programs and courses are relevant to existing and future needs. The Employee Program Associate works with consultants to develop curriculum incorporating research-based, up-to-date content and adult learning theory. In addition, the Employee Program Associate audits courses to recommend improvements to curriculum. Periodic travel throughout the State of New York is required. Duties include but are not limited to: Coordinate open enrollment and worksite training requests for courses in the trades, operations and maintenance program category; Work with consultants and subject matter experts to design, write and evaluate curriculum; Oversee outreach efforts to gather input on education and training needs; Lead efforts to develop education and training opportunities in green technology to assist agencies and provide employees with needed job skills; Develop online learning certificate programs to provide employees with the knowledge and skills needed to accomplish their job assignments more effectively; Audit courses and deliver training as needed; Work on a regular basis as a team member and serve as an in-house consultant and coach in the development of curriculum.
