Duties Description The New York State Senate is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to fill an entry-level position in our Maintenance and Operations Department.
Key responsibilities:
•Purchase Order Processing
•Contacting vendors for pricing and availability
•Submission to Senate Purchasing Agent or Procurement Officer for approval
•Managing order from placement to delivery
•Bid Processing
•Gathering specifications from relevant vendors
•Assembling documentation outlining Procurement Lobbying Law and Vendor Responsibility
•Managing the bid record-keeping and notifications to winning bidder
•Subscription and Publications Processing
•Maintain subscriptions and publications for all Senate offices
•Providing Clerical and Administrative support as needed
Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following:
•One year of Microsoft Excel experience
•High school diploma or equivalent required
•Two years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, but not required
Additional Comments Salary range: $30,000 to $35,000, commensurate with education and experience.
