Duties Description The DDRO Region #4 Development Unit has responsibility for the development of all voluntary operated residential and day services in NYC.
This unit is responsible for all aspects of the development process for all NYC Voluntary Operated programs including, but not limited to residential, day services and ASFC.
In addition, this position is necessary in order to fulfill the OPWDD initiatives for Developmental Center Closures (occurring in the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens) and the placement of individuals aging out of residential schools.
The responsibilities of the Treatment Team Leader include but are not limited to the following:
• Working with the Voluntary and OPWDD State Operations and DDRO staff on the development of residential opportunities for the Developmental Center Closure initiative for Brooklyn and Queens campuses
• Assisting with the development of residential placements for young adults aging-out of Residential Schools
• Waiver Enrollment for individuals going into the residential placements identified above
• Review operating budgets, PPA development, construction oversight, assisting agencies in the preparation of certification and opening of programs
• Provide technical assistance to the Voluntary providers on all aspects of development
