Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in environmental education programs; or one year of college study with specialization in natural science, natural resources, or environmental education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Should be familiar with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher

Duties Description Assist with planning accessibility training for Lands and Forests, Fish and Wildlife, and Operations staff to assure that construction projects meet current accessibility standards and have minimal impact on the natural setting.

Assist with the organization of 150 site inspections statewide and staff training events in each region on how to conduct ADA inspections.

Develop outreach materials for NY State Fair, NY Adaptive Fair in Syracuse and other events promoting universal access on state lands.

Additional Comments Seasonal, hourly position ending no later than 8/31/14. Program needs will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to 8/31/14. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at interview.
