Minimum Qualifications This is a transfer opportunity for a current State employee with permanent service as an Agency Training and Development Specialist 2.
OR
70.1 Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive service as a Mental Hygiene Staff Development Specialist 4.
52.6 Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive service in a position at the SG-21 level or above designated administrative pursuant to Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The incumbent will perform a variety of duties in support of the Employee Development Office. Duties will include developing and delivering in-house training courses; identifying and supervising third party training development opportunities and delivery; conducting on-site training for OGS and OGS-hosted agencies, including Microsoft Office Suite courses; building and maintaining curriculum, including use of online authoring tools; identifying and preparing grant applications to fund training initiatives; supporting the training registration process and maintaining training records in the Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS); and conducting training needs assessments to provide recommendations to meet training objectives. Some supervision may be required.
