Senior Auditor Grade 18: Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Appropriate titles include but are not limited to:
Senior Accountant SG-18, Senior Internal Auditor SG -18, Data Processing Fiscal System Auditor 1, SG-18, Tax Auditor 1 SG-18, State Program Examiner 1 SG-18...Please note that in order to be appointed to this you you must have 24 credit hours of Accounting and or Auditing.
Duties Description You must have a 4 year degree with a minimum of 24 credits in accounting. This NYSIF Senior Auditor is a field position with work assigned in any of the 9 county areas in Central and Northern New York serviced by the Syracuse District Office to perform insurance premium audits to determine actual premium exposure. Senior Auditors must prioritize, plan and schedule work from assignments in their inventory. Auditors travel to the policyholders’ location, audit records in accordance with requirements and communicate the findings to the assured. Completed audits and reports must be submitted to the NYSIF Office, electronically, on a daily basis. Senior Auditors must maintain professional appearance and behavior, have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work independently.
