Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

As a Training Specialist 2 within EDGE, the incumbent will provide oversight and guidance to Training Specialist 1’s who design and deliver a variety of training courses to Department of Labor employees throughout the state. Trainings may include job specific and customized topics, including but not limited to workplace skills, management and supervisory training, analyzing claim information, assessing eligibility requirements based on UI Code, Policies, and Procedures, evaluating wage and earnings, and communicating with claimants by phone to obtain missing information. The incumbent will:

•Lead and supervise Training Specialist 1’s
•Develop and support the Training Specialist 1’s with curriculum development and training projects pertaining to unemployment insurance
•Review drafts and updated training materials pertaining to Unemployment Insurance policies and procedures
•Identify training needs, develop curriculum, and schedule training for staff
•Participate in more complex discussions/meetings with stakeholders to support new training procedures and solutions
•Assist with development of informational material related to training procedures and solutions
•Incorporate technology and web-based applications in design and delivery of training
•Review training metrics including course attendance and course completion and course evaluations provided by Training Specialist 1’s
•Review and assist in maintaining the Unemployment Insurance SharePoint site which includes approving the updated job aids, training videos, and materials for content and DOL branding
