Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS Employees: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law Open to the Public:

Possession of a license and current registration as a registered
professional nurse in New York State.
Continued employment will be contingent upon maintaining a valid NYS license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MDS assessment experience, admission assessment and documentation experience and the ability to conduct meetings/interviews with good verbal and written communication skills.

Duties Description Conducts audits of Nursing documentation and care plans.
Prepares Residents Nursing Quarterly Assessments.
Assists in training new nursing staff regarding care plans and MDS assessment/documentation.
The admission nurse/MDS Liaison is an integral part of the nursing team and will assist in supervision, record reviews for survey prep as well as reviewing PRI ‘s for admissions as needed.

Additional Comments *Salary reflects the contractual salary range at step 4 and a geographic pay differential of $35,000 and downstate adjustment of $3,400 for New York City, Westchester, and Suffolk counties.
