70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:

Current New York State employee with one year or more permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 10 or higher may be eligible for transfer.

Duties Description As a Stores & Mail Operations Supervisor in the Business Administrative Bureau’s Fleet and Inventory Unit, you will perform the following duties:

• Supervise two or more Office Assistants within the unit
• Responsible for training and evaluation of new unit staff
• Approve travel plans and timesheets
• Manage Fleet Pool vehicles
• Schedule and assist Executive level staff with fleet needs – including driving executive staff, maintenance, and ensuring vehicle cleanliness
• Process surplus and new inventory vehicles. Correspond with OGS and DMV as needed.
• Assist statewide staff with fleet needs
• Assist with fleet fuel card management and agency EV charging needs
• Assist with accident management corresponding with OGS, DOL Property and Budget Offices
• Work with Budget and Accounting to process records, billings, and gas cards
• Oversee preventative maintenance scheduling of agency fleet vehicles
• Provide fleet reporting to management
• Managing equipment database with moves/work orders, new asset tags, and surplussed assets
• Asset tag agency equipment and assets
• Organize areas of audit for equipment throughout the state
• Ability for some travel to complete physical inventory at all DOL sites
• Gather information for travel cost to be approved for inventory travel (gas, tolls, GSA meal per Diem, GSA hotel cost, and length of time needed to complete inventory in the region)
• Take local trips to the agency warehouse to assist with equipment moves, logistics, and space management
• Occasional assistance in DOL mailroom for high-volume distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
• Other duties as assigned
