52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications:
To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the Department of Labor promotion field and have one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as an Administrative Assistant 1. If 3 or fewer qualified Department of Labor Administrative Assistant 1 respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified Administrative Assistant 1 without further examination.

Provisional Qualifications:
You must be a qualified Department of Labor employee and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an Examination Composition Assistant, Keyboard Specialist 2, Keyboard Specialist 2 (Spanish Language), Keyboard Specialist 3, Law Department Document Specialist, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding (Spanish Language), Administrative Assistant 1, Administrative Assistant 1 (Spanish Language), or Senior Data Entry Machine Operator.

Only the titles listed are qualifying. The appointed candidate would have to take, pass and be reachable on the next holding of the examination to be appointed permanently.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
The incumbent will provide professional administrative support for the Division of Safety and Health (DOSH) and will assist program managers with complex administrative activities which includes compiling and issuing all Commissioner's decisions for distribution to applicants, screen and direct intake of 1400-1500 asbestos related petitions for variance, serves as a subject matter expert for MPWR software and serves as an Information Resource Representative and business approver for DOSH related ITS tickets.
