Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description This position will be located within the Main Office, Project Management Office, Capital Program Project Management Bureau. The incumbent will be responsible for duties described in the Department of Civil Service Classification Standard for Senior Transportation Analyst. Specific duties, roles, and responsibilities related to the position will be discussed at the interview.
Responsibilities may include,
• Support the Project Management applications:
o Provide technical assistance and training in Primavera P6, Team Member, and Analytics.
o Perform and monitor project data integrity.
o Create and maintain analyses, dashboards, agents, and visualizations to provide project & program information.
o Respond to PMO and ITS helpdesk requests to troubleshoot and solve issues.
o Initiate and develop process improvements.
o Prepare and update documentation detailing procedures and policies.
o Assist with managing user access and enterprise data.
o Organize and lead CoP groups.
• Assist in managing PMO data management applications.
• Assist in managing consultant contracts and process invoices, PO's, and other SFS documents.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Project Management Office, Main Office, Regional Offices, and consultants to achieve timely and efficient project delivery.
• Support Construction Project Management and Design-Build and Alternative Delivery program needs.
This position also requires:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues instantly.
• Ability to research, compile, organize, analyze, and evaluate information from a variety of sources and prepare recommendations and proposals to upper management.
• Ability to conduct meetings and make presentations/trainings to groups.
• Ability to represent the Project Management Office in a variety of work teams to develop and improve program and project management policies, procedures, guidance, and manuals.
• Efficient use of available resources.
• Ability to manage consultants working on behalf of the PMO.
• Ability to prepare, update, and/or review Engineering Instructions, Engineering Bulletins, policies, procedures, guidance, special specifications, and training manuals related to project management.
• Periodic travel to Regional Offices (occasional overnight travel).
• Occasional weekend and evening job assignments.
• Ability to coordinate with Federal Highway Administration and other external agencies, organizations, and vendors.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
