The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Division of Fiscal Policy and Management is seeking a person to work as a Resources and Reimbursement Agent 3 or in the local Financial Benefits and Entitlements Assistance and Management (FBEAM). The Resources and Reimbursement Agent 3 is part of the FBEAM team responsible for securing Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security and other benefits for the individuals residing in state operations.
The incumbent of the position will:
• Manage the FBEAM Field Office.
• Represent the agency in working with federal, state and local benefit agencies to ensure understanding and cooperation in the development and management of financial benefits and entitlements.
• Supervise staff as they apply, recertify and file appeals for financial benefits for individuals in state operations.
• Oversight of billing account management for individuals in state operations.
• Identify, develop and deliver training to state and not-for-profit staff, families, advocates and individuals on the management of financial benefits and resources.
• Assist families, advocates, individuals and providers in the resolution of financial benefit and payment issues.
• Manage Medicaid district responsibilities including all facets of eligibility for individuals in state and voluntary operations and Medicaid system coding for proper provider payments.
• Maintain office workflow, ensuring assignments for projects, workgroups and committees are brought to a successful conclusion.
• Provide supervision to contract, clerical, and professional staff at the FBEAM Field Office.
